Mavcom should step in quickly to mediate
FocusM | 08 Feb 2019 00:30
The ongoing bad blood between AirAsia Bhd and Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) is unlikely to end soon. The continuing disagreement about the increase in the passenger service charges (PSC) in klia2 is rapidly escalating.

On Feb 4, AirAsia accused MAHB of being “duplicitous and disingenuous in its arguments” on the raising of the PSC. AirAsia’s main thrust of arguments is that klia2’s services are not on par with KL International Airport (KLIA), hence the PSC should be made the same.

While dispute between parties in any commercial relationship is to be expected, one wonders what exactly the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) is doing to resolve and manage the fallout between AirAsia and MAHB.
