Despite his success in creating a regional software giant, Silverlake Axis Ltd’s founder and group executive chairman Goh Peng Ooi is not resting on his laurels.

His next big step is to list the company on the Hong Kong stock exchange. At a recent event, Goh says Silverlake is looking to list on the exchange and has already started the process. He adds that the company will frequently undertake fundraising from now on.

For the record, nearly 40% of the top 20 largest banks in Southeast Asia utilise Silverlake’s banking solutions. It counts three of the five largest Asean superregional financial institutions among its customers, which undoubtedly puts it among the main regional players in this area. This has made Goh the 20th richest Malaysian with a net worth of RM2.84 bil.
