Inter-Pacific Asset Management Sdn Bhd (“IPAM”) a subsidiary of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, announced today the appointment of renowned financial economist, Dato’ Dr Nazri Khan, as its new Head. The announcement was made by Berjaya Corporation Berhad Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan, who was the guest of honour at the launch event held during the Menang Saham Bersama DDNK Mega Seminar at Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam, Selangor.
Commenting on Dato’ Dr Nazri Khan’s appointment, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan said, “Dato’ Dr Nazri Khan is a prominent figure and a notable economist among investors. I am impressed with his success in managing a sizeable fund which has achieved an impressive return on investment of 17% within 5 short months.”
“I am confident that as the new Head of IPAM, Dato’ Dr Nazri Khan will be able to substantially increase the number of investors, particularly from the Muslim community, to IPAM and diversify our current investor base, as well as introduce new fund products to the market.”
In conjunction with Dato’ Dr Nazri Khan’s appointment, IPAM also launched a new fund, the InterPac Capital Preservation and Growth Fund (“ICPG Fund”), a wholesale mixed assets fund which seeks to provide capital preservation, consistent income and growth. The ICPG Fund is suitable for sophisticated investors who have a medium to long term investment horizon; and whose investment objectives are aligned with capital preservation, consistent income and growth.

Being an Economics graduate from Manchester University, United Kingdom and a PhD holder from Multimedia University, Dato’ Dr Nazri Khan is the former Senior Vice President (Investment) of fund management company, Phillip Capital Management and former Chief Investment Officer of private equity specialist, Widuri Capital Sdn Berhad. Prior to that, he was the Head of Retail Research in Affin Hwang Investment Bank. He is a proponent of the ultra-growth investing style and specializes in the Syariah global stock market, with USA stocks in particular. His monster stock picks include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Tesla and Nvidia which have generated more than 20-fold return over the last ten years. He is currently the Chairman of Malaysian Association of Technical Analysts (“MATA”) which successfully hosted the World Conference of International Federation Technical Analysts (“IFTA”) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed.
